Hema Malini and Dharmendra The dream girl of Bollywood had made quite a few Bollywood heroes go gaga over her beauty. Hema Malini had co-stared with top actors like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Sanjeev Kumar but it was Dharmendra with whom her chemistry on screen was the most palpable. Hema Malini and Dharmendra have come together in a jaw dropping number of 28 films, with hits like Raja Jaani, Seeta Aur Geeta, Jugnu, Naya Zamana and the unforgettable Sholay. The scene in Sholay where Dharmendra tries to commit suicide from a water tank for Hema Malini still makes us smile. The beautiful and shy Hema and the stunning heartthrob Dharmendra became the most sought after jodi back then. The duo soon fell in love and are happily married. And now Hema and Dharmendra have begun making a steady comeback into films. But unfortunately they haven’t yet been paired together. Well hopefully we would get to see the two together just like the good old days!
Amitabh and Rekha Amitabh’s on screen chemistry with Rekha worked wonders at the box office. The sizzling hot couple had made headlines for not just their on-screen chemistry but also their off-screen. At the time of his much-applauded Angry Young Man image, if there was a pairing that was always looked forward to, it was that of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. Cinema lovers were spell bound with their chemistry in films like Mr Natwarlal, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and Do Anjaane. Their cinematic pairing saw Rekha emerging from a raw actress to a superlative one. A gap followed after they starred in numerous films together. It was with Silsila that the gap was bridged. Everyone waited expectantly to see one of their favourite pairs on screen again. And now after many years once again everyone is waiting that someday they would once again be able to bask in the warmth of the Amitabh-Rekha pairing. Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla ‘The cute couple’ is how Aamir and Juhi were referred to when they came together in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The pair was an instant hit and had smashing on screen chemistry together. The ever bubbly Juhi Chawla and the quite and reticent Aamir made the perfect combo for QSQT. Their chemistry reeked more of romance and compassion than overt sexuality. Some how there was a deep level of respect and understanding of each other which the audience loved. But unfortunately the jodi had parted ways due to a squabble on the sets of their film Ishq . And now after almost 5 years the duo is back on talking terms and hopefully the two who were termed as having the best chemistry around will give us another of their stunning performance together. Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Where intensity was concerned, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit matched each other perfectly. Both powerhouse performers, it’s a small wonder that when they starred together, they could set the screen on fire. N Chandra’s Tezaab had both playing characters who had endured a lot of pain. Their pain took the form of intense passion when it came to their love for each other. The result was that they both complemented each other beautifully over before one could say Ek do teen. The effect continued with Ram Lakhan and Kishen Kanhaiya and hearts went dhak dhak… in Beta. In fact, in Beta, Madhuri’s fiery demeanour was a perfect foil to Anil Kapoor’s subdued one. It’s hardly surprising that most of their films together have been hits. Their last film together was Boney Kapoor’s Pukar where the two once again gave some stunning and complimented each other. Where Madhuri was nominated for several awards, Anil Kapoor went on to receive the National Award for the film. Govinda- Karisma How can we forget Govinda and Karisma when talking about pairs we would want to see again? They are two actors who have the comfort factor which makes all the difference. The jodi has done maximum number of films together. Remember all the David Dhawan’s romantic comedies like Hero No 1 and and Coolie No.1. Well it was recently heard that the duo would be making a comeback together in another David Dhawan flick. Well hopefully the rumours turn true and we get to watch the duo having a blast on screen once more. Akshay Kumar- Raveena Tandon Hot and sizzling are the only two words which come to our mind when we refer to this jodi. Remember the song Tip Tip Barsa Paani where Akshay and Raveena’s chemistry was unbeatable. Not only was their on-screen chemistry strong but the pair also dated each other for some time before going their separate paths.
And now Akshay Kumar has gone his become a superstar of Bollywood cinema and Raveena is happily married with two children. But hopefully she will be making a comeback soon and reignite the lost chemistry between her and Akshay. They were last seen in the delayed film Police Force.
